This is my May 2021 Wrap-Up. I’m going to give a runover of my month, and a preview of next month!
News & Events
We are fully vaccinated! James and I both received our second dose of Pfizer this month, and have been considered fully vaccinated since the 25th. Yay for returning to normalcy!
I went wedding dress shopping with one of my besties. James & I went to Nashville IN and Brown County with our besties Ryan and Stormi. We chilled with Jess & Keaton a couple times. Mostly same old, same old.
I finished two books this month, and am in the middle of another. I finished Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel and The Hope We Hold by Jeremy and Jinger Vuolo. The latter is a nonfiction book; I’m trying to read more nonfiction. The book I’m in the middle of is the fourth Harry Potter book, The Goblet of Fire. No, I’m not re-reading it. This is my first time reading the notorious series. My goal is to finish all seven books by the end of this year.
Movies & TV
James and I saw one movie this month: Spiral. It’s the latest SAW movie. I’ve only seen one or two other SAW movies, but this one was particularly good because I recognized a few of the actors. See: Chris Rock & Samuel L. Jackson. OH! AND the ever beautiful Max Minghella is in it too, which brings me to my next point.
Last month I totally indulged in The Handmaid’s Tale TV series. If you remember my post about the book, you know I despised the book. It took me forever to read. The TV series, however, is absolutely fantastic. I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus from it this month. I think I’m afraid of running out of episodes so I’m trying to take it slow. I’m about halfway through season three. I could go on and on about the show, but I digress.
Looking Forward to June
My spring TBR is a bit fuller than I wanted it to be at this point, and I probably won’t finish all of them in June. I have 4 ½ books on my list. There’s no way I’m going to read that much in one month, but I’ll give it a go.
The newest Conjuring movie comes out in June! You best believe I’ll be seeing it this month. Review Pending.
I’m currently job searching. I ~ may ~ have something pending to start in August, but I need to find something until then. A seasonal job would probably be best, but who’s hiring seasonal work this late?
Consistently warmer days are coming, the pool is opening, and my energy levels are rising.
What are your plans for June?
