Hellooooo Everybody!
I want to share with you the books I read last month. This isn’t going to be some long list like all the book bloggers out there, but I still love to read and want to share that with you guys. So, here are my May 2020 Reads.
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
Listen, I know this book has been a big hit. There’s a whole series based off of it on Hulu it’s so popular. But let me tell you: this book is awful. It was so bad, I wrote a whole review on it (LINK REVIEW POST). The concept of the book is amazing. It could’ve been SUCH a good read! The writing style of Margaret Atwood did not sit well with me at all, and not a lot of conflict, drama, or action happened. It was so mundane. I’m not even going to bother with the book’s sequel The Testaments because this one was just. So. Bad. 2/10 don’t recommend.
Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott
Okay so this book was really cute. I had first heard about it when it was being made into a movie. I am a firm believer that you should read the book before you see the movie. I finally got around to reading it, and I read it in two days! At first I absolutely hated Will, but he grew into a good person. I loved Stella the whole book; she was so passionate about everything she did. I relate to her in that aspect. The ending however, made me so mad. I definitely was not satisfied with the way it ended. I haven’t watched the movie yet, but I’m excited to see it soon.
