How I get Ready in Under 15 Minutes

Helloooooo Everybody!

I like to consider myself the queen of getting ready at lightning speed.  Do you know how many times I’ve gotten ready for the day in five minutes?  Hundreds, easily.  Even from the time I was in elementary school I would spend as much time in bed as I could in the mornings before school.  That still rings true today, fifteen years later.  I’m going to share with you my daily routine where I get ready in under fifteen minutes.

Typically, the only time I get ready first thing is the days I work, so we’ll treat this like I’m getting ready for work.

The first thing I do once I’m out of bed is use the restroom and get dressed.  This usually takes about two minutes.

Next, I brush my hair.  If I’m leaving my hair down I always spray Batiste Dry Shampoo, Original Fragrance, 6.73 Fl Oz,Pack of 3 before I go to bed so it has time to absorb all the oils overnight.  If I’m pulling my hair up, I usually don’t use dry shampoo.  Brushing my hair and maybe pulling it up takes about one minutes.

The next thing I do I’m sure to get grief about, but I don’t wash my face when I get up.  What I do is take a cotton ball and some Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Toner with Aloe Vera Formula – 12 oz”  and wipe my face down.  I’ll then spray some Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater, 4 Fl Oz to lightly moisturize.  This process usually takes two minutes.

Now, it’s time for makeup.  I use Revlon Insta-Blush Stick, Berry Kiss to get some color on my face and Milani Rose Blush to set it.  I also quickly curl my lashes and apply a coat of mascara to my top and bottom lashes.  I play around with mascara, but COVERGIRL LashBlast Full Lash Bloom Mascara, Very Black 800, 0.44 Ounce (Packaging May Vary) Volumizing Mascara with Beeswax, Petal-Shaped Brush is what I’ve been using lately.  Makeup usually takes about two minutes to apply.

I then take a minute to apply deodorant and perfume.  I use men’s deodorant because ya girl sweats like a grown man. Degree Men MotionSense UltraClear Black+White Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick 2.7 oz 4 ct is the stuff I’ve been using. I’m currently trying to use up all of my hoarded perfume, but my faves lately have been Victoria’s Secret.

I brush my teeth and take a puff of my steroid inhaler (asthma, anyone?).  This takes about two minutes.

The last thing I do is pour myself some coffee and fill up my water bottle, which takes two minutes.

This all adds up to be less than 15 minutes.  Here’s the math:

2 minutes- Restroom & Dressed

1 minute- Hair

2 minutes- Face

2 minutes- Makeup

1 minutes- Deodorant & Perfume

2 minute- Teeth & Inhaler

2 minutes- Beverages

——————————

TOTAL: 12 minutes

Obviously it doesn’t take me exactly twelve minutes to get ready every single day (I’m not a machine),  It usually takes me between 10-15 minutes to do this whole process.

Ya girl is the queen of gettin’ ready quick.  Any other quick queens out there?  How long does it take you to get ready for the workday?

Much Love,

MCC
